Samantha Rees

Samantha is a Senior Associate at Thomas Mansfield Family Law.

Samantha completed her legal training at a large regional practice and moved to London to pursue her legal career, specialising in family law. She has experience across a broad range of family matters, including divorce, civil partnership dissolution and disputes relating to children. Samantha has particular expertise in relation to matrimonial finance cases involving high-net-worth individuals, complex business structures, trust arrangements and assets overseas.

Samantha also advises unmarried cohabitants, drafting cohabitation agreements and advising clients on issues that arise following the breakdown of their relationship.

While Samantha has significant litigation experience, she is always mindful of the potential benefits to clients of resolving disputes outside of the court setting where appropriate. As a member of Resolution, Samantha is committed to dealing with cases constructively and with empathy.

Samantha’s clients value her compassionate approach and her ability to explain complex legal matters clearly. She is known for building a strong rapport with her clients, providing pragmatic advice with sensitivity and discretion.

Samantha takes time to understand her client’s concerns and their specific circumstances and challenges. She provides strategic advice with this in mind, focusing on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients.

Samantha holds a LLB (Hons) Law Degree from Queen Mary University, London and completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, passing with Distinction. Samantha qualified as a solicitor in 2018.
