Sophie Ashley is a dual-qualified family law Solicitor and Barrister with experience across the full spectrum of family law. She advises on divorce, financial remedy proceedings, private children matters and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
Sophie has particular expertise in complex matrimonial finance, including cases involving substantial assets, business interests and long periods of separation.

Sophie aims to resolve matters amicably wherever possible, helping clients avoid unnecessary conflict and make informed decisions about their future. When court proceedings are required, she is a confident and tenacious advocate.
Experience
Sophie is a First Class LLB graduate and completed the Bar Professional Training Course with strong results. She was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Middle Temple as both a Major Scholar and Exhibitioner, before cross-qualifying as a solicitor in 2023 following her completion of the SQE with high marks.
Her dual qualification equips her with strong analytical skills, advisory expertise and effective advocacy in both negotiation and litigation.
Sophie has advised on a wide range of family and matrimonial matters and brings experience acting for high net worth clients. She assisted in the recently reported case of G v N [2025] EWFC 286, in which the court awarded the husband 100 per cent of the former matrimonial home following a lengthy period of separation.
