Martina D’Avino
Associate Solicitor
Martina is an Associate Solicitor in the family team at Thomas Mansfield Solicitors.
She advises on all aspects of family law, including divorce and separation, disputes relating to finances, arrangements for children and Children Act applications and matters which involve domestic abuse.
Martina is known for providing pragmatic and strategic advice to her clients in a sensible and simple manner. She is sensitive to her clients’ specific circumstances and with that in mind, she focuses on achieving a fair outcome for her clients be it in relation to children or the financial aspects of a relationship breakdown.
Martina believes that family issues can be resolved in a way that minimises conflict and has experience in resolving disputes often without the need to attend court. However, she recognises that every family is different and when court proceedings are necessary, she has extensive litigation experience.
Martina regularly advises clients on international family matters. She has advised British expatriates from multiple jurisdictions or UK based clients with overseas assets on a range of family matters through the English courts.
Martina gained experience as a family law paralegal before completing her training contract and qualifying in October 2019. Martina joined Thomas Mansfield in 2021 from a Tier 1 Legal 500 regional firm in East Anglia. She completed the Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course (Distinction) at BPP University in Holborn.
She is a member of Resolution and sits on the Young Resolution National Committee.
As a fluent Italian speaker, Martina advises her clients in Italian or in English. She is registered as an Italian Solicitor at the Italian Consulate in London.
